Up

Up is a touching movie with a great story. It has adventure and really captures your attention. Up is about an old man, Carl Fredrickson, and his wife who had a dream of moving their house on a cliff next to a water fall. Then, something got in their way. What would you do if you got stuck in a floating house with an annoying boy scout, that you want nothing to do with? Well, in the movie Up, you will find out what 78-year-old Carl Fredrickson, does when that happens. For one thing, it turns into a wild adventure. I think Up is a great movie that has it all. It’s got adventure, sad parts, scary parts, funny parts, and is a great movie for people of all ages.
In Up, when Carl’s wife passes away, Carl is being forced to go to a care home, so he puts balloons on the house and flies away to a cliff next to a waterfall where his wife and he wanted to live. He doesn’t realize that an overeager boy scout, Russell, got on his deck when the balloons went up and has come on the adventure. While on the way the two gather some unlikely friends, a bird named Kevin and a dog who can speak. Through the movie, the old man and Russell grow to like each other and battle an enemy in the end, not leaving anyone behind.
This is a moving movie through the whole thing. It has funny parts too. It shows how two people that want nothing to do with each other come to care for one other and help each other through difficult things. It is thought to be a kid’s movie, but I think anyone can relate to it in different ways. Up really brings the whole family together.
