Hairspray

Do you like musicals? Then you will probably like Hairspray. Hairspray is a great movie because it built suspense and the cleverness is unbearable. The 60’s are full of energy and it feels like anything can happen. My suspicions are that this movie hit the big screen and stayed there for a while. This musical is very lively and it almost never takes a break from the action.

Tracy Turnblad is longing to be on television, which was black and white at the time, and she is doing almost everything she can to get on the TV. Once on, Tracy was full of energy and didn’t give up. Prejudice is separating her from dancing with her black friends. Cleverness is needed to get Tracy’s want of dancing with the African-Americans.

The movie is mainly funny or energizing, and briefly sad, but energizing is the best word to describe the movie. For example, the dancing is very pumped up and exiting. You probably won’t want to skip parts in the movie, or go to bed when your mom wants you to while you are watching. I request getting this on DVD or go to a friend’s house and watch it. Hairspray, in my perspective, is one of the best movies I have ever seen.
