What would you do if you had moved to China and was bullied by a teenager who was a master at Kung Fu? Well, Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) is tired of being bullied and wants to learn Kung Fu from the maintenance man who works at his apartment building, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) after he saves Dre from a gang of bullies that attacked him. If you are an action-movie person, this movie will be a thrill for you.
Dre and his mother (Taraji P. Henson) move to China to start a new life. Dre is attracted to a girl named Meiying(Han Wen Wen ), who he meets at the park outside his apartment building, but cannot be with her because of a bully(who is a extremely good at Kung Fu )from the school Dre will be going to. After a while, Dre is tired of being bullied and wants to learn Kung Fu from the maintenance man who told the bully’s Kung Fu master to stop bullying Dre if he joined a Kung Fu tournament.
I think this movie will be a thrill for people who like action-packed movies because it has many action scenes throughout the epic journey that Dre Parker takes to master the secrets of Kung Fu and defeat the bully that has been bothering him ever since he met him.
This movie review really makes me want to see Karate Kid!
