Despicable Me

Will Vector or Gru steal the moon first? Find out by watching Despicable Me! It is about a villain who adopts 3 girls as part of his evil plan to steal the moon but grows to love them. If you like family comedies, then you’ll love this movie. It was a great film that never had you bored. You could watch it over and over again.

Despicable Me is about a villain named Gru who is past his prime but still wants to be the best villain. He has an army of thousands of minions but he does not have enough money to complete his plan to shrink the moon and take it back to his lair. Gru has a rival villain named Vector who tries to be more evil then Gru constantly. Gru tries to get into Vector’s lair all the time but he always fails. Finally he discovered Vector loves cookies so he adopts 3 orphan sisters who are Girl Scouts to sell Vector cookies with hidden cameras in them to investigate Vector’s lair. Even though he adopted the girls to use them, he ends up being a caring father.

The movie had hysterical moments throughout, especially the minions. They had their own language which made them even more funny throughout the movie. In one scene, the minions go to the mall in disguise to get something for Gru and they got interested in the karaoke machine and started singing in their language. The minions were so entertaining they could make a movie with just them in it. But overall, Despicable Me had comedy, action and showed the importance of family and how it can change you. It was all around a fantastic movie and easily one of the best movies of the summer.
